Here are some questions that most people ask.

Is KidSPOT a daycare?  'Yes and No'.  Perhaps the easiest answer is that we are not a 'typical' daycare. We care for a lot of different types of children. We have some kids that come to us for a typical daycare or Preschool experience, while we have others that come who have all sorts of special needs. Each child here is different. We believe that this is what makes us special. We have children who are developmentally on track for their age sharing space with peers who are receiving all sorts of therapy and care. Not only do KidSPOT kids get amazing care, they get to learn things from friends will all sorts of backgrounds.

How do I find out if my child qualifies?  Because we are so diverse, we have many different possibilities for qualification.  The easiest thing to do is contact us and set up an appointment so that we can help find what best fits your child.  You can start by filling out our Initial Contact form.

Do I need a referral from my child's doctor? No, you don't need a referral to talk to us.  You might need one to receive services.  The need for a referral is based on the types of services that your child will receive.  You can fill out an Initial Contact Form or if you are medical or therapy professional wishing to make a referral, you can can fill out our Referral Form.

What ages do you take?  We currently take children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.

Does my child need to have therapy in order to come to KidSPOT? Nope. We provide therapy based on referral from the child's Primary Care Physician.  Not all children who attend KidSPOT need therapy.

How long does it take to get my child into care? This really depends on what program that child qualifies into and what services he or she needs. It could be as little as a week or as long as a month. This part of the process requires your participation, so the more you participate with us, the easier and quicker the enrollment process would go.

What happens once my child is old enough to go to school? Our staff meets with you and a liaison from the school to discuss the transition process. In this process we could cover your child's history in our program, continued needs, successes of treatment, and the next steps for when they get to school. We have spent a lot of time getting to know your child and we want to do everything that we can to set them up for a successful school experience!

What happens on a typical day at KidSPOT? Glad that you are asked that!  Check our a A Typical Day for a child at KidSPOT for a little more info about what our kids do!
